Procedure Overview:

There are two main methods of whitening teeth: home and office bleachings. Home bleaching is a safe and effective way to whiten the colour of one’s teeth. First, a mold of the teeth is taken to create bleaching trays that custom-fit into the mouth. The trays are then inserted into the patient’s mouth, usually for 30-45 minutes or overnight, depending on the desired degree of whiteness. Most treatment takes two weeks, but more time may be required in the event of severely stained or discoloured teeth

Another option for bleaching is office bleaching.

Whitening can get your smile looking its best. You should look for a whitening procedure that is:

  • Fast and convenient
  • Long-lasting
  • Low sensitivity
  • Proven to be safe and effective
  • Performed by a dental professional

How long does Home take?

The complete procedure takes less than an hour. The procedure begins with a preparation period followed by as little as 45 minutes of bleaching. (A proper cleaning is recommended prior to the actual whitening session.)

How does the System work?

Light Activated Whitening Gel’s active ingredient is hydrogen peroxide. As the hydrogen peroxide is broken down, oxygen enters the enamel and dentin, bleaching coloured substances while the structure of the tooth is left unchanged. Light aids in activating the hydrogen peroxide and helps it penetrate the surface of the tooth. A study has shown that use of a lamp increases the effectiveness of the gel by 26% or more, giving an average improvement of up to eight shades.

What will happen to me during the in-Office procedure?

During the procedure, patients can comfortably watch television or listen to music. Individuals with a strong gag reflex or anxiety may have difficulty undergoing the entire procedure.

How long do the results last?

By following some simple post-whitening care instructions, your teeth will always be lighter than they were before. Dental Veneers

The first stage is an initial consultation. At this appointment, the dentist takes x-rays and impressions of your teeth. You’ll then be shown a mockup. This is a series of images that will show you what to expect from your new smile. It’s to check that you’re happy with the results before the veneers are
added.

The second stage is where your veneers are created. You’ll start the appointment by having pieces of enamel taken from the desired teeth. A putty mould will then be placed on them. This mould hardens and is used to create your veneers. Depending on the clinic, this will either be an in-house process or complete on a separate site. You’ll be given a temporary set of veneers whilst your permanent ones are created; so don’t worry about walking around with half your enamel missing.

Once your new veneers are created, you’re ready for the best part. Receiving your new smile. First, acids are applied to the surface of the required teeth. This gives the veneers a strong, adhesive grip. They’re then cemented into place and exposed to a UV light to speed up the cementation.

You shouldn’t feel any after-effects from this procedure. The most you’ll feel is increased sensitivity for a few days. However, we understand that you might have some lingering questions. That’s we provide a 24/7 UK coordinator for pre-and post-procedure support. No matter when you need us, there will always be someone on hand to help.
