Procedure Overview:

Dental crowns are like hats for your teeth. They’re applied to protect a damaged tooth and restore its healthy appearance. If you have teeth that are damaged enough that a filling won’t fix them, but not so impaired that they need removing, then this procedure will help you.

What Are Dental Crowns?

Your teeth are put under a lot of strain. This can be from decay or accidental injury. They can start to chip and become misshapen or ground down to a different size.

Crowns are a solution to this issue. They act as a safety helmet (or crown) that covers and protects the damaged tooth. The result for your tooth is that further damage is prevented. The result for you is a full, healthy smile that will increase your confidence.

We believe that the life-changing impact that dental surgery has on your self-esteem shouldn’t be reserved for the rich and famous. This is why we offer cost effective medical tourism safely and reliably across the UK, Turkey, Spain, and Poland.

We fulfil this promise of safety and security by only working with accredited partners. Each dental clinic has been thoroughly vetted by our expert medical team. When you work with us, low cost doesn’t come at the compromise of high quality.

Benefits Of Dental Crowns:

  • Improve the appearance of unhealthy or damaged teeth
  • Protect damaged teeth from further harm
  • Hold cracked teeth together
  • Can be used to cover dental implants (to see more on dental implants click here)
  • They will last a lifetime if correctly looked after

Dental Crown Surgery:

During your first visit, you can expect the dentist to examine the affected tooth or teeth and take an x-ray. In some cases, a root canal might need to be taken before crowns are fitted. If this is the case, then this will be discussed at your initial appointment.

The tooth that is receiving the crown will then be filed down. An impression will then be made of the existing teeth above and below the filed tooth. This ensures that your new crown doesn’t affect your bite.

Depending on the clinic, your new crowns will either be made on the same day or sent to a separate site to be created. You’ll be given a temporary crown to protect your tooth in the interim. This temporary crown will be replaced with a permanent one on your second appointment. This is when you’ll be given local anastatic while the crown is permanently sealed in place.

48 hours after your procedure you’ll no longer have to avoid certain foods. Although the after-effects fade quickly, you might still have some questions. That’s why all our procedures come with pre-and post-treatment aftercare. You’re given a 24/7 UK operator. No matter what time your questions come to you, you always have someone on hand to help.
